*sigh* Yes, this is the way that all of SVLUG seems to have been
going for some time.  One of the reasons that Mark resigned and
Warren withdrew his support.  I don't clearly know the specifics
of either but, I know that they both had to do with bickering
rather than a clear direction.

FYI, *I* didn't fix the "lock" message because, frankly, I have
very little idea who is doing what anymore... the machine has
gone down at least twice in the last few motnhs and, from *my*
POV, there was a "mystery plan" to transition systems --- not
the original plan that a large group of us agreed to and had our
tasks for.

This is NOT "bitching" about that situation, so much as an
explaination as to why I just decided to "stay out of the way"
for a while.  I am just NOT the type to start mucking around in
something that has any sembilance of "working" until I
understand what is going on.

That said, that is where I am yet again.  I want to contribute,
but I still have no idea what is going on... where machines are,
who is doing what to them, and if there is a decent long-term
plan as well as, in my opinion, a needed SHORT-term plan.

Frankly, my disillusionment has been mainly due to the fact that
I thought we made a pretty good plan (almost a year ago) and, in
terms of what *is* in use today, nothing has changed since then. 
As I said, I was informed only that "plans have changed" and no
more and, therefore, decided to back away.

It seems that things are still confused enough that I am still
in the "gathering info" stage and am asking people various
questions about what's where and where we're going.  I've
emailed various people and even get together with one or two on
occasion.  Once I get that, I can *start* to form an *opinion*
as to where I might fit in....
