I suggest the Email list page linked to in the svlug.org site's left
column navigation
http://www.svlug.org/policies/list-policy.php
either be replaced with or, failing that, contain a prominent link
near the top of it to the actual list-of-email-lists page:
http://lists.svlug.org/lists/listinfo

I see no reason a LUG would hide any lists it runs on its servers.
Best to prominently display the real list-of-email-lists page
