Given the current horrendous job market I concur, and Joyce had no
opinion, so I'm going to update the jobs policy. The way the internet's
been lately, some of you might see the updated page before you see this
email.
For those of us who have a shorter history with SVLUG, the policy Marc
declared used to be the standard jobs policy, so we have precedent for
it, anyway.
If there are any extra criteria you want to apply, e.g. "must be a real
job requisition, not a generic entry" or "must reveal hiring company to
the Officers, even if you request their anonymity for the post" ... let
web-team at svlug.org know, and we will update it.
Y'all can look at BayLISA's jobs policy for an example of some more
complicated rules that keep down the naturally spammish nature of job
postings. (http://www.baylisa.org/lists/)
