Just Ye Olde Afterthought:

...because, though it's functionally also meeting space, technically 
we're meeting in extended dining room space of a corporate cafeteria
(Symantec vCafe), so they're cool with people eating there, and I gather
that this includes food brought in.

I've never heard even a tiny squeak of problems or rule-making on this.
