Rick,
I think the mailing list discussion has been quite helpful.

If using web 2.0 to increase attendance work, then what is wrong with
that. It doesn't need to be the center of the clubs organization nor even
officially related.
I am not a fan of meetup per se and would prefer an Open RSS feed like
system, but this doesn't seem to be the way people want to do this.
Meetup seems to be full of people searching for events to attend and had
become a central hub for tracking such events around the bay.

Rick, I have actively tried to help except when it's not caught up in
emotions, politics or ego. I have little skill or patients for such things.

I think the Roku meeting turned out fantastic, we acted as a team and Yudhvir
has a really talent for coordinating things, I'd be happy to help him with
any pieces that I can.

I am very happy with the team effort in the organization since my arrival
in town in June.

This topic is one of several meeting suggestions that I put out their. I
am very happy to see it materializing better then I could have ever done so
on my own.

As for Chairs in the room. I was thinking of official Fire code capacity
rules, I'd be happy to drive down and count chairs if I though that would
answer my question.

So far most of our meeting have only had a few days notice to announce to
the public the meeting topic. With a 3 month lead we could really hype
this.

I am also volunteering to see if we can get a video camera and
record/stream some meetings.

John
