Hi, Yudhvir!

You'll be delighted to know that I built current versions of OpenWRT
on both units you kindly gave me, and one is used very often for 
meetings of the CABAL Linux user group (which meets twice a month at my
and my wife's house in west Menlo Park), and the other I gave to EBLUG,
the Linux user group that meets monthly in Fremont.

Delighted to hear that you're joining SVLUG's active volunteers.  You 
probably want to join the very-low-traffic volunteers at lists.svlug.org

Essentially, being the Speaker Coordinator involves, indeed, finding
people who have topics for the monthly General Meeting, which is 1st
Wednesday evenings, 7-9 PM, at Symantec's Vcafe room, 350 Elllis Street
near E. Middlefield Road, Mountain View.

I actually mis-spoke out our open meeting dates:  We already _have_ both
an April 2010 _and_ a May 2010 speaker lined up.  Please see:

Symantec, our site sponsor, unfortunately doesn't permit us Internet
access from the (large, pleasant) meeting room.  There is an excellent
overhead projector, for which the presenter just needs a VGA connector.
Approximate size of the audience has lately tended to be about 30
people.  Audience is mixed:  general, sysadmin, coder.  There is no 
'open source only' requirement.  Any interesting talk with arguable
Linux relevance is great.

The approximate meeting format is:  At 7 PM, a volunteer will make any
brief announcements needed, then introduce the speaker.  The speaker has
about two hours.  It's lovely but certainly not required if the speaker
can provide slides and/or notes for the talk, that can then be posted to
the SVLUG Web site.  At the end of the talk, generally a group of
members will go out for a late dinner at Frankie, Johnnie, and Luigi's
Too, a local Italian restaurant on El Camino Real.  By tradition, if the
speaker wishes to attend, the other members will buy him/her dinner.

Further details and help:  Please join the Volunteers mailing list, and
the active volunteers will be delighted to give you any help and
information we can.  The most active volunteers at this time appear to
be me, Mark Weisler, and Margaret Wendall.

By the way, I should credit you on the Web site as Speaker Coordinator.
For that purpose, should I refer to you as Yudhvir Sarja, or as Mehma
Sarja?

Please pardon my ignorance.  I hope I am more clueful about Sikh
tradition and Punjabi names than most Scandinavian-Americans, but
I realise that is setting the bar a bit low.  ;->
