Hi Richard,
thanks very much for the offer to present at an upcoming SVLUG meeting. The next available speaking slots are November 4th and January 6th. Would either of those dates work for you?
The SVLUG meeting officially starts at 7pm, but often gets going 5-10 minutes late if folks appear to still be streaming in. We generally open with 5-10 minutes of announcements regarding SVLUG and other local Linux related events. We then have the space until approximately 9pm so most recent talks have had 45-90 minutes of content with Q&A at the speaker's discretion.
The facilities that Symantec provides are quite good in terms of AV, with an overhead projector, screen, microphone and Internet access. However, Symantec does have some filtering on their connection so if the presentation is dependent on anything more than basic web browsing, it would be a good idea to bring a 3G card.
kind regards,
Andrew
