There's also the other half of the sugar fizzy water problem:
I appreciate people's generosity in wanting to leave sodas behind
for my household. Unfortunately, it doesn't really work:

o Deirdre, my wife, can't drink aspartame (Nutrasweet). She's
allergic. Also, she really likes only Pepsi.
o Cheryl, my mother-in-law, doesn't drink soda at all.
o I personally dislike almost all commodity sweet fizzy water,
because it's made with either aspartame, which tastes awful, or
tax-subsidised corn syrup, which is just disgusting and bad for you.
(If you want to make me happy, you can buy me a large bottle of
Jarritos, one of the flavours that say "natural sabor", i.e.,
naturally flavoured. Being bottled in Mexico, it's made with
real sugar instead of taxpayer-subsidised corn syrup.

So, thank you for the good intentions, in wanting to leave us sodas,
but in general please just don't.

In fact, please check with me before leaving behind foods.
