I've lost track of this whole thread, so I'll just say something
that I think VAGUELY has something to do with this whole thing
and see if it helps any.

I have just made some changes to the part of the server that
serves svlug.org (without the www) I hope for the better.

If any of you would please go check to be sure that I did not
screw up any of the other web pages that the server serves (e.g.
as mailman).

What I did was changed the default page (which is ALWAYS gone to
when you try to go to a svlug.org page with a few exceptions
such as the mailman pages) so that it captures the rest of the
URL and directs you to that page specifically.  For example,
going to http://svlug.org/events.php will tell you that you
SHOULD go to http://www.svlug.org/events.php and will redirect
you there.

This should make the event a little less unpleasant for anyone
who forgets to put the "www" in front of the URL...

Any problems? Feel free to fix them or let me know.
