Have you considered a CMS? Wikis are awesome when only the current data
matters, and personally, I like movable type for things like 'event logs'
and other things where you want to be able to see the last few events.
(I use it for status at my hosting company, as you want to
be able to go back and see all the old downtime events... it seems like
the same thing would apply to past meetings.)
I'm sure everyone here knows HTML, but just matching up tags can get
difficult. I know sometimes I screw it up. Content management systems
really do make it easier to manage a site in a sane manner, and the
blogging software (like movable type) makes it easy to retain and archive
old events in a sane manner. (my 'status' page, before I moved to movable
type, was kindof intimidating.)
