Great news everyone !!! We've managed to arrange a "field trip"
meeting for SVLUG !!!
This will be a "second monthly meeting", separate from the normal
"first Weds." meeting.
We've been interested in having MontaVista software present to SVLUG for some
time, but Jim Ready's a very busy man. Take a look at
http://montavistasoftware.com/
and you'll understand why. He's their founder.
As you can see via http://montavistasoftware.com/opensource.php
they're quite into giving back to the open source community. I'm
really looking forward to learning more about what they're doing.
Rather than have Jim come speak at one of our regular meetings,
MontaVista has invited SVLUG to come to their headquarters -
http://tinyurl.com/3csnkk - on July 18th at 7:00PM
They'll be providing pizza and drinks, so our new Pizza sponsor,
Robert Half Technologies, needn't worry. We will need to get a HEAD
COUNT though, so PLEASE RSVP to President at SVLUG.org if you're planning
to attend.
This is purely a Linux meeting - no business on the side. But there
will be LOTS and lots of talk about embedded Linux.
Hope to see you all there!
Regards,
-Paul Reiber
