Allow me to give more details. I was logged in, and at some point I noticed that
for no apparent reason, the UUID's of /dev/md0 and /dev/md1 suddenly changed. I
thought this was very strange, but I wrongly didn't think a reboot would kill
it, especially since it had successfully rebooted just minutes earlier. Nothing
that went wrong was in any way related to the kernel, which was believed
earlier. I can think of two possible explanations:
1) A software fluke and/or perhaps bug in what is now Debian-Stable
2) Some sort of yet-to-be-ascertained hardware failure
Which of the two is more likely is an exercise to be left up to the reader.
