I see _zero_ Linux picnics held by the Bay Area Linux community at
present. There used to be one. I think it'd be nice if there were one
again.
I don't know if there is enough interest among the Bay Area's Linux
groups to organise a LUGs-led picnic again. At the beginning of your
term, you very explicitly felt that there was, when you discussed this
matter with me and with Mark Weisler. Perhaps you've now changed your
mind -- and, if so, you might be right.
However, in the meantime, I personally see no special reason to
volunteer to help a ham-radio group (one that violated a number of
understandings with SVLUG, including on this very matter) in staffing
its picnic. But I hope they continue to have a good one, of course.
