own reference.  (You would want to send notices to, at most, a small 
_subset_ of these groups' mailing lists, of course.  And yes, I'm 
well aware that some groups shown are defunct that aren't yet shown 
as such -- and some that have actually revived, e.g., SlugLUG.  This is
a reminder list of places to check, some of which I do _not_ check, and
some of which I check only very rarely in case there are new signs of
