Short answer: As listadmin, I say that's perfectly fine.

Long answer:  Nearly anything goes on this mailing list, with the
expectation of general Linux relevance implied.  As a catchall, the
strategically fuzzy term 'offtopic spew' mentioned in the mailing list
guidelines (http://www.svlug.org/policies/list-policy.php) on very rare
occasions gets gently applied (i.e., by the listadmin harruphing).

A few short guidelines for this _specific_ SVLUG mailing list are on its
listadmin page, and are likewise applied in a pretty relaxed fashion:
