Hi, Rob!  (Don't think I've seen you since Chicon 2000.)

Anyone with a serious interest in Linux on open CPU designs, and in
embedded computing generally, should definitely attend.  J-core can be
quite a big thing once the last patents expire later this year, and
various a totally open SoCs (systems on chip) up to and including based
on Hitachi SuperH SH4 is possible (very cheaply, it appears).  And
meantime, there are interim hardware solutions.
