I'm thinking of switching from Red Hat to Ubuntu, but have no idea how much
of an improvement, if any it would be. So I would like to know:

    Can the latest versions of Chrome and Chromium be easily installed on
    Ubuntu?

   I'm a developer, as well, and I use Ubuntu as my primary environment. I've installed Google Chrome in that environment, and use it as my primary browser. But Firefox and Palemoon also work very well, as others have indicated. Chromium has a few issues recently, unfortunately.
