There is raid if that's what you're asking. As I mentioned to Rick, it is still a good policy to have outside backups in case of hackage or a disaster
like a crane falling on our racks (seriously, they made me leave the last time I was there because they were doing work on the roof.)
The whole chroot is 4GB compressed if someone else cares enough to keep a copy. Of course if the loss is due to hackage from the software being out of
date, that's not going to help very much.

You mean a dedicated server with HE.net? We have transit with them, they are good people.
You're more likely to notice SSDs vs hard drives in a multi-tenant environment. It's a lot more difficult to guarantee performance with hard drives
primarily due to random access times being, well, pretty random. But for a number of workloads, more ram will get your better performance and right
now that's our goal.
