I have a pretty old line in my fetchmail config that says
## postfix
antispam 450,501,504,554;
that could possibly explain your memory hiccup.
I myself have no memory of why that line is there and man fetchmail
right now doesn't help.
Setting up a mail chain that satisfy my needs has been something I
invested a reasonable amount of my time on in the past. That problem has
been solved and I occupied that area of my brain with something else.
I've to say that postfix improving default configuration and debian
packaging had made setting up a mail server for home use easier and easier.
