The most knowledgeable people I've known have *always* recommended
encrypting (I don't remember what they said about signing) every
message, because if you only encrypt the secret ones, you might as well
label it "Here's the one you should look at, NSA (or Russian Mafia or
whatever).

I encrypt none out of laziness, but then again, I almost never put
anything in an email I wouldn't delightedly share with the spooks and
the hoods.
