Hi,

Cloud computing, especially public clouds have fundamentally changed the role of system administrators, or SRE. (site reliability engineering)
Without a traditional server infrastructure to manage, system administrators have had to evolve.

Is anyone willing to share their experience on how public clouds have changed their job?

Has your company's SRE 's team been reduced due to your company moving towards a hosted public cloud?
Have you had to become more of an application administrator instead of an infrastructure administrator?

As developers themselves push code into cloud, or into a more DevOps role, has your role as a sys admin or SRE reduced in managing production?
