[svlug] cheap whitebox computer?

What's the current best thinking for a basic linux headless dev box.  Any
reasonable >2.5GHz CPU, ~8GB RAM, disk does not matter since I'll probably
replace...  need this for dev where a cloud server isn't a good fit.  I can
assemble it myself, doesn't matter.

Any suggestions on good Bay Area suppliers?
