First the directly related piece..

I've been thinking a SoCal roadtrip for a little while, will try to throw
this in there. I'd offer to carpool with folks, but since I don't know my
schedule yet that'd be hard to do. Unfortunate they don't seem to have a
carpool board of any sort, hmm.. Hopefully someone else who's driving/riding
just for that would be down to help coordinate carpools from here, if not
I'll offer, and folks can contact me. (Though.. I'm sure there's got to be
a more efficient way.. use an existing website, eg zimride? or.. dunno)

now for some random thoughts..

Interesting idea.. After talking to the folks from LinuxFest NorthWest, I
was lamenting the lack of a Bay Area Linux event (yes, aside from picnix :),
and especially lacking the lack of a nearby event that was more on the
grassroots level.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who's had this thought, but, thought I'd throw
that thought bubble out there. :)

OSCON is kinda neat, but way expensive, SCALE definitely sounds interesting
and promising, thanks for posting about it!

ttfn,
ajay
