I'd been under the impression that a static IP was $20/month extra, and
I didn't want to do that. After reading your email, I called them and
found it's only $10/month extra, and they'll need to change out my
modem, which gives me a queazy feeling because this one works.
Last night at 3pm I signed up with Afraid.Org for a free account. I
liked the fact that two of their "clients" were just shellscripts I can
understand and would work wonderfully as cron jobs on my OpenBSD/pf
firewall/router. I'm going to try that and see how it works, but if I
have troubles, I'll probably do just what you said and spend the ten
bucks a month more.
