I was not querying because I've had a problem, with 64 bit Redhat 6. I'm
considering buying a new computer and installing 64 bit Redhat 6 on it. My
caution is based on problems I've had with a 64 bit Redhat 4. The story, there,
is a complex tale of incompetence and tribulations. In outline:

The circa 2007 64 bit adobe plugin had a bug which kept it from doing sound. So
I decided to use a 32 bit firefox. Installing a 32 bit firefox required
installing a cascade of dependent 32 bits libraries and doing the right thing
vis-a-vis the 32 bit vis 64 bit libraries. I don't think I ever got it
completely right. For whatever reason, firefox still wouldn't play sound. I gave
up. Yes, most (but not all) other sound applications worked. At this point, I
have less than zero interest in resolving that ancient problem. I have no
aspirations to become a system administrator. I just want to watch and hear
videos.

Based on the answers I got from you guys, I'm going to chance 64 bits. I'm going
to buy RedHat support for at least the first year, but RedHat won't support the
adobe plugin.
