I found an old 10M switch...

[router] -- [10M switch] -- [modem]

Now bandwidth is still very low but it stays at around 140KB-150KB/s.

Now there are 2 possibilities left:
a) the old HW got broken *and* the new one can't negotiate proper
speed
b) gamma rays, ufo... some new interference.

I'm going to buy a newer switch and place it where the 10M switch
stand now.

BTW the router is a linksys 610n and the modem is a d-link 320T.
The old one were an Asus wl500g and an Alcatel SpeedTouch Home.
