'Unbound' and PowerDNS Recursor are two of several good recursive
nameserver packages that include AAAA resolution. Both are literally
zero-administration daemons, once you install the package: You just
start it and make sure /etc/resolv.conf points there.
I honestly can't understand why one would use an ISP recursive
nameserver _or_ OpenDNS _or_ Google Public DNS, when inherently a local
recursive nameserver gives the lowest possible response latency, and
keeps an important function at home rather than in some stranger's
