take a look at http://wiki.babel.com.au/index.php?area=Linux_Projects&page=DirectoryServerMigration#toc7,
which shows you how to export the fedora database using local tools
(the analog of slapcat for openldap). This way you don't need to
worry about picking the right dn to bind as.
A quick google search using the terms 'migrate fedora directory server
openldap' also seemed to have a few interesting looking sites
(although the majority of them are concerned with the openldap ->
fedora move).
