[svlug] De-Evolutioning my system.

All,
Increasingly I'm growing frustrated with Evolution on my work system.
I have to interface with all aspects of exchange (Calendaring, mail,
address book, tasks etc) and so I need a mail program that can do all
of these.
Evolution does touch all of these, but I'm growing increasingly
frustrated with their changes to function that IMHO decrease usability.
(why did they introduce a "feature" where they require you to request a
preview window be shown, every time it crashes?)
Beyond just feature compatibility, I also need something that looks
good and works on a real-estate constricted system (IE a netbook).
Doesn't crash every 30 minutes (like Evo does) Additionally something
that can handle opening up in the morning with around 300 mails in
IMAP, without crashes (Bugs are filed on a lot of this not necessarily
by me.)
Kmail works with IMAP but not calendaring or the Exchange address
book, Same for thunderbird. Is there an option for another Mail
client, or am I stuck choosing between Evolution or Outcrook in Wine?
(Each one doing an excellent job of imitating the others faults.)
James
