There are classic problems with one tool does all:
- it does none or only one well and the rest so, so
- It gets you by the interface e.g. import instead of read
Bill,

If you want to go simple (and limited) you can use some online services.

IF (big if) you want to coordinate m$ files, then you can use google
docs IF (bigger if) you use them in a simple manner (NO VB or special
features). That solves one particular problem domain. I use it and
it does pretty well. I also use google calendar.

I don't know what other files you need to coordinate.

Wikis have a kind of version control. Probably only works for text
files and you'd need to cut and paste. I like PBWiki because they
keep improving it.

Of course you would miss out on the adventure of learning some
exciting new way to do the same old thing. LOL

No, I don't work at google nor PBWiki.
