[svlug] Eclipse BIRT timeout error to 127.0.0.1

I keep getting the message "The operation timed out when attempting to contact 127.0.0.1." when trying to preview a BIRT report in Eclipse.  The report is just the tutorial that is available.  It doesn't matter whether I created the document or if I download from the BIRT website.

I have no idea why Eclipse is trying to contact my localhost.  I can see the data when I go to the data source and I can choose the tables I want, so it's seeing the sample database that is provided.

Is it trying to preview in a browser?  Apache2 is running and there is nothing in the access or error logs.

Any clues on how to fix this or at least point me in the right direction?
