<begin speaking as listadmin>

John, this would better have been sent either off-list or CCed to the
Volunteers mailing list: Please do so with any follow-ups on this
topic. (Sita and others, same applies to you, please.) Administrivia
should _not_ in general be sent to any mailing lists, and particularly not to
svlug at lists.svlug.org. Instead, administrive queries/comments should be
sent to the appropriate -owner address, such as svlug-owner at lists.svlug.org.
That's exactly what it says in every header of every posting. (Exception:
If you wish to discuss or challenge an action I or any other listadmin
take, you are always welcome to do so on the public Volunteers mailing
list.) Please take that seriously.

Hi, John. Sorry to hear Sita's still having a problem.

That's exactly correct, John.

It's extremely bizarre if indeed Sita did not receive my (immediate) reply
to her (unfortunately, rather difficult-to-understand) request for help late
on Tuesday, May 6. Here it is again:

Hi, Sita. What list are you referring to as "this list"? (You do not
specify.) Also, can you please provide one complete copy of a posting,
   with all headers intact?

In other words, Sita hadn't even bothered to say _anywhere_ which of
SVLUG's numerious mailing lists she was speaking of when she said "this
list". So, I asked. She never replied.

Thus, I was never (until now) in a position to give further assistance.
Fortunately, you've made my job easy by saying (as per your three steps,
above) exactly the same thing I would have told Sita. Thanks, John!

Sita, John explained it exactly right!
