Don't be so sure about that.  If the cost to change all their ATMs to a 
Linux-based solution (are there any?) is more than the cost of cleaning 
up the mess after a compromise (plus any estimated costs to account for 
the risk of another possible compromise), they won't do a thing.

Sorta like how it's not worth it for credit card companies to go after 
most instances of CC fraud.
