[svlug] Maximum memory (debian 3.1)

Thanks for all the info on AMD64.  Looks like Debian has
missed out again, I'm beginning to wonder if it's time to
move on.  Ah well.

Anyways, does anyone have any thoughts on why my kernel is only
showing ~3G of RAM?  The BIOS recognizes 4G (as does my boot
loadable 'memtest').



And finally, I just noticed that my log is filling up with ipv6 messages:

ipv6: Unknown symbol __rta_fill
ipv6: disagrees about version of symbol skb_recv_datagram
ipv6: Unknown symbol skb_recv_datagram
etc...

Yet the kernel I'm running (and just built) has IPV6 turned off:

% zcat /proc/config.gz | grep CONFIG_IPV6
# CONFIG_IPV6 is not set


Yargh..  the voodoo magic of setting up a kernel is frightening, sometimes..
