The valid comparison is with FC6 update, not with FC6 base; there's no
reason they'd ship a bug they've already fixed in FC6.  For example:

> FC6:		gcc-4.1.1-30.x86_64.rpm
> RHEL5:		gcc-4.1.1-52.el5.x86_64.rpm

FC6 update: gcc-4.1.1-51.fc6

It seems the main difference is that RHEL5 has a 2.6.18-based kernel
(though Red Hat patches the kernel more than anything else).  Otherwise
most things are roughly the same (also Red Hat does so much backporting
in their kernels that "2.6.18" is likely a misnomer, other than that
they probably kept some 2.6.18 ABIs).

Going forward, FC6 will probably wind up with some newer versions than
RHEL5, because Fedora is more aggressive about updating to the newest
upstream version.
