I think this is (sadly) the most important talent. You may have a
good product but you will only be able to generate income with the
right marketing. On the other hand, marketing seems to be able to
overcome weak products sometimes.

I learned that 15-20 years ago: happy customers but not enough
of them to make a living nearly as good as writing software for others.

Today, with the wide exposure of the Internet, it may be different, though.
