craigslist applicants and other "resume" shops are bad ..
( 99% of those didn't past the breathing tests )

better ones tend to be the ones that do that kind of work whether
they get paid or not ...

worst type of managers to hire, that they cannot run their corp
network that way .. like at home with wireless and telnet/ftp
and dhcp  and no backups

for the original poster .. to start up "something" ...

- i say let's plan to meet weekly... monday is best since
  there's no conflict with other "techie" meetings

- if you got something others want, they'll be there or help
  and vice versa ... and you will need critical mass 

- for today.. i have more tasks to do from customers or potential
  customers but will turn it down due to lack of reliable resources
