I had to run some windows software to initialize it - don't really
know what it did.
It also had to be done with the box connected directly to the modem - couldn't
go through a firewall.  After that I connected the modem to my firewall/router
and my linux box just worked.

They block port 25.  I was using another isp for email for several
months then one
day it stopped working.  I filed a report and the response was I had
to use them
for sending email.
