Ummm, I have been working in the industry for a long time. I know this.

Ummm, in some cases you simply cannot do that. Eg, a Cisco box.

You know, in a testing environment, none of what you have said is
relevant. Even in the cases where we could place a common public key on
the boxes under test, it is just simply a pain.
