I want to stay away from the Intel chips as Postgres runs considerably faster 
on AMD most likely due to the on chip memory controller.  I SSH into this box 
from my laptop most of the time, but I also sit at it when I'm doing heavy DB 
work as putty and screen just don't cut it sometimes.
