[svlug] CENTOS

Hi Ron,

CENTOS is a "free RHEL" (basically the GPL'd portions of RHEL that
are taken out and released to the public). All the advantages of RHEL
vs. other distributions (e.g.: Fedora) -- except a support
contractor -- apply: the main one being is longer support
lifecycles, stability vs. having the "latest and the greatest"
packages.

In my view these features certainly make for a good engineering
workstation, but the target would more likely be a production
server.
