[svlug] can't read our optical backup

before going pro , make sure that another computer with that exact drive that made the optical backup can't read it, ruling out the possibility of drive misalignment or weak ability of the other drive to read that exact combination of writer and media .

 Hey all,

We had a hard drive crash on a development machine 
and the CD-RW it wrote to each night is not readable.

We have some MySQL data on this drive in the 
/var/db/mysql directory we really need to get back.

Does anyone know of any good data recovery 
services? This data is pretty important, so we are 
willing to pay a professional if it can be recovered.
