Absolutely just a feeling.  I know of no specific problems.  It just  
introduces a lot of complexity on the way to the media.  Like I said,  
I'd have to be
_extremely_ concerned for it to be an issue.  In practice that's  
actually my default configuration for a Linux box these days.
