[svlug] how can I pipe the output from 'locate' into a tarball?

I want to archive all 'mailman' related stuff on my gentoo box.

If I type 'locate mailman', I get a big-ol-list-o-stuff

Seems to me there should be a way to pipe that as the file list to 'tar'
