Tiny nothing... I used to run SLS & early Slackware on a 4 meg box.
16 megs was a *lot* once - and cost a relative fortune compared to what
memory goes for now :(.
Still, many (or at least some) of the commercial CD installers have
difficulties around the 64 meg point. Mandriva, for instance, limits
you to the one-CD install if your box has less than 64meg of RAM (of
course, it's possible to add content later). The simple reason, as I
understand it, is that there's just not enough room to hold the indexes
of files in RAM to permit the user to change CDs during the install if
there are less than 64 megs in the box.
