I also set that, to no effect.
> /etc/cups/pdftops.conf is a symlink to that file.

Debian Bug #253071 smells similar, but no dice there either, and it's
apparently OOo specific.

 What Part of "Gestalt" don't you understand?
    Responses to spam knock off little bits of functionality or reliability
