One trick with SBC support is to always press the touchtone button
for Mac support.  It's not right either, and you still have to get
past the ridiculous first-level support questions, but they tend to be
a little less scripted than the Windows support people, and sometimes
they even have an inkling of the existence of commandline diagnostic
tools.
