Hmm -- another option might be to allow only one type of use
(desktop, server, laptop, whatever) and/or only allow choice of one
distro, but but let people fill out the survey multiple times.

That's more work for surveyees who would have to take the survey
multiple times; but nobody really has to, and many people might
not mind it. It would guard against unhelpful survey results
like "People who run more than four distros and use laptops,
desktops and servers tend to have no trouble configuring wireless
networking."
