Sorry, this time w/o HTML mail...
Ditto, David beat me to it and is spot on. Even at work when people ask me
if they can buy "their" laptop once the book value has run, I still suggest
to them to do as David points out.
It's not like a desktop where you can tinker with it yourself if it starts
to hiccup, laptops are a drag to work on so these are a great deal and you
get limited service/warranty opportunities; see below:
IBM Certified Used Equipment is refurbished with IBM parts as available,
and is tested to IBM standards. You're protected by a three-month quality
satisfaction guarantee on refurbished products, plus a seven-day money-back
guarantee on refurbished PC products.
Customer service support and installation for refurbished servers and
refurbished networking products is available. Plus, most refurbished
products are eligible for IBM maintenance agreements.
Same Limited Warranties1 as New Systems:
Same technical support as new systems - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Award winning customer service and support

Id challenge Dell on what they mean exactly and length of term of service,
IBMs statement is more straightforward.
Enjoy, Richard.
