[svlug] Liberate DVRs

I've come by a passel (20-30) of Liberate DVRs (boxes, remotes, wireless
keyboards). I've gotten one to wake up and respond to a remote but
haven't gotten around to sorting out a keyboard that works with it.

There are several different manufacturers including Toshiba, Acer,
Motorola. Does anyone have any knowledge/interest in these?

The price is right, free. If you can make (any of) them useful, please
make one or so run for me. They all take a smart card and I don't have
any but it may be needed for the online service and may or may not
effect usefulness.

I think they use VRxWorks from Wind River and have some international
defined GUI for set top boxes.

Liberate Technology is formerly NIC (a bad dream from Larry Ellison).
They went from network computers to set top boxes and went public for
approx. $100M in 1999 (Larry makes lemonade by the vat full :-). They
still operate but I believe the company has close to a negative net worth.
